My boys have arrived

I know I'm not a frequent poster but wanted to let everyone know the boys were born.

Friday April 11th Owen and Henry made their way into the world. They were born at 35 weeks. My water broke at 1:30 friday morning contractions started just a few minutes later. I got into my triage bed at 2:40, I was 6cm dialated. Suddenly I had a ton of pressure in my bottom and felt the urge. The nurses came back and found Baby A crowning. I was rushed to the OR without an IV and my doctor still was a few minutes out. When we got to the OR they shoved the IV in my hand and hooked up the babies. Three contractions later, at 3:04am, Henry was born. They did an ultrasound and watched Owen drop head down, everyone cheered. Two pushes later, at 3:08, Owen was born.

The boys weighed 5lb 9.6 oz and 5lbs 5 oz. They both came out screaming at the top of their lungs. They didn't have any NICU time while we were in the hospital. However they had to be readmitted to the NICU because their billi count was in the danger zone. We stayed for 24 hours and both numbers dropped to where we could come home.

Our first week with the twins has been filled with trips to the hospital for billi checks, nursing around the clock, and little to no sleep. They are so worth it though and I know this stage will be over before I know it. I'll post a picture after I get them fed again.

Congratulations! What a great birth story- I'm glad it worked out so well. I love their names, too. I wanted Henry but dh didn't.. oh well. They're beauties!
